One encounter was enough to change the course of his life: graffiti. Daily contact with the works once again shifted his horizon: moving from wall to canvas became his new goal. He flourished in this town that Picasso called the “Mecca of Cubism” - its history, its museum, and its artistic energy have continued to nourish and guide his work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eToday, Sank follows in the footsteps of Cubism, extending in his own way the legacy of a place that witnessed the birth of one of the great adventures in modern art. Its visual vocabulary is that of pixel art and 8-bit, inherited from geek culture and the early consoles; its subject, meanwhile, belongs to the heritage of Morris's drawing. Between the two, the construction from stacked modules also evokes the fragmented volumes of Cubism, a language the artist made his own in Céret. The character is not drawn; he is built: each colored block functions as a plane, a facet, a unit of meaning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe palette remains faithful to the original - the white hat, black vest, yellow shirt, red scarf, blue jeans - but the material introduces a shift. These painted wooden volumes, with their crisp edges and matte surfaces, give the paper hero a physical, almost sculptural presence. The offsets between the blocks cast slight shadows that animate the surface according to the light and remind us that the work exists in space, not only on a plane.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eHung on the wall without a frame or backing, the piece embraces its cutout form.
