Dam Domido
Since a very young age, Dam Domido has painted intuitively, inspired by her passion for drawing, intense colors, and the light of the Mediterranean, which sparked her calling as a painter.
She refined her technique by working in various artists' studios, including evening classes at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Grasse. Dam Domido's approach is expressionist in its pursuit of emotion, capturing an intense fragment of feeling.
She uses several mediums, sometimes mixed according to her inspiration. Her work includes several periods, such as the floral period, female portraits, snowy urban landscapes, and Provençal landscapes.
Today, her work is mainly focused on lyrical and chromatic abstraction. Each piece is driven by a continuous search for the heightened representation of light and a study of color complementarity, through generous and energetic brushstrokes.
While continuing her exploration of liberated subjectivity, built on exalted feelings, each stroke radiates the artist’s creative energy.
Dam Domido's works are featured in galleries and numerous international collections, notably in the United States, Japan, China, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, Taiwan, Brazil, and Hong Kong.
