Mark Sugar: Italian Sculptor in 3D Printing

Marco Zucchero (known as Mark Sugar) was born on 01/29/82 on Lake Como. After a childhood spent between the canton of Ticino (Switzerland) and the hills between Bergamo and Lecco, he moved to Brescia with his mother in 1993.

He attended the Camillo Golgi Institute and fell in love with advertising, then developed a passion for disciplines such as art, photography, and art history. After graduating, he specialized at the IAL Institute as a webmaster and began working in the creative field.

In 2011, he became passionate about 3D printers and everything related to FDM technology (fused deposition modeling). He began to imagine a different world, where sharing projects requires skills that seem very different from each other but actually have very specific connections.

Thanks to prototyping and the "finished product," Mark Sugar sees a rapidly growing sector now accessible to everyone, both in terms of economic investment and technical skills. The daily working method becomes a lifestyle: an idea is born, becomes a sketch on paper, transforms into a digital file, the model is optimized, and finally materialized with a 3D printer.

He began studying the entire universe of technical and bio-sustainable polymers, imagining a series of solutions for various types of applications, from the medical sector to architecture, from the world of toys to industrial design, and even to the field of artistic sculptures.
