Inspired by Daft Punk's iconic helmet, the artist offers a sleek version, frozen in a mirrored gold alloy that captures the surrounding space as much as it distorts it. The helmet's perfectly smooth, reflective surface evokes a presence that is both human and dehumanized—an androgynous, faceless figure suspended between machine and emotion. By using gold, Richmond imbues the object with a sacred, almost mythological dimension: the robot becomes an idol. Starboy embodies this tension between individuality and anonymity, between technology and identity.
