Originally from the suburbs of Osaka, she is a Shihan master, the highest rank in the Japanese calligraphic art, Shodou. After a stint at the Nagoya School of Fine Arts, and influenced by the work of Ernst Kolb, she refined a unique and characteristic style through which she represents these subjects using fine and multiple lines, until obtain disconcerting portraits of light and shadow. Here, the artists offer us a reinterpretation of the Mona Lisa in a Pop Art version.
