Artwork inspired by Disney & cartoons

Œuvres d’art inspirées par Disney & les dessins animés

The Disney story begins in 1923 when Walt Disney founded his animation studio, soon joined by his brother Roy. In 1928, the appearance of a character with large ears—Mickey Mouse—revolutionized the animation industry. The following decades saw the birth of classics such as Snow White , Cinderella , The Lion King , The Little Mermaid , and Aladdin , which shaped the global collective imagination. Meanwhile, other animation studios also made their mark, such as Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, and Pixar. The aesthetics of Disney animation—vibrant colors, expressive shapes, and visual storytelling—became a universal language that continues to inspire many contemporary artists today. The Disney universe remains a major cultural pillar, blending magic, emotion, and artistic innovation.

  • Urban Mickey Urban Mickey

    Lasveguix Urban Mickey

1 in stock Shipping within 48 hours

This piece of Lasveguix presents an urban and contemporary reinterpretation of a global icon: Mickey Mouse. Against a bright blue background, the famous Disney character is depicted in a classic style with his red shorts and wide smile, but he is partly covered by a chaotic collage of torn paper, slashed posters, and layers of paint. The juxtaposition of the sharpness of the cartoon with the raw, fragmented look of the collage evokes a tension between nostalgia, popular culture, and the erasure of time. The bursts of vivid color (red, blue, black, yellow) combined with the torn materials bring a dynamism that seems to burst Mickey's image out of its original frame. At the bottom right, the signature "Lasveguix" anchors the work in the world of street art and pop art, faithful to the style of the artist who likes to mix popular references and street aesthetics.

  • Mickey Mouse Bronx Mickey Mouse Bronx

    EGHNĀ Mickey Mouse Bronx

1 in stock Shipping within 48 hours

This work of EGHNĀ is a canvas painting that fuses the codes of street art with a popular culture icon, here provocatively reworked. It features a stylized and fragmented representation of Mickey Mouse, whose face is covered in graffiti, paint drips, and scribbled texts evoking the urban and rebellious world of graffiti. The color palette is dominated by black, white, gray, and red. The chaotic, saturated background combines mist effects, broad brushstrokes, splashes, and red drips, reminiscent of bloodstains. Inscriptions like "BRONX," "vandal," and illegible graffiti add a protest and underground dimension to the whole. The character's attitude, though humorously hinted at by his wide smile, seems almost menacing or cynical, reinforced by jarring elements like the white X-shaped stitching across his lower face. Hastily scribbled hearts sit alongside more aggressive messages, creating a contrast between the character's supposed innocence and the raw world around him. The work seems to question the place of mass culture in contemporary art, while paying homage to the aesthetic of New York graffiti of the 1980s and 1990s. It evokes a form of desacralization of the Disney myth in favor of a free, raw, almost anarchic expression.

  • Snoopy and Woodstock hello Snoopy and Woodstock hello

    EGHNĀ Snoopy and Woodstock hello

    Out of stock

This pop art artwork by EGHNĀ depicting Snoopy is an explosion of bright colors and dynamic shapes, capturing the playful and iconic energy of Charles Schulz's famous character. Snoopy, with his laid-back demeanor and mischievous smile, is stylized through blocks of saturated color, reminiscent of the influences of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. The background of the work is a kaleidoscope of primary hues—reds, yellows, and blues—contrasting with the more geometric and abstract shapes that surround Snoopy. Each element seems to float in a vibrant space, punctuated by touches of neon, creating a visual tension between Snoopy's innocent childhood and the rebellious aesthetic of pop art. EGHNĀ incorporates bold graphic details, repeating patterns and layering effects to give Snoopy a contemporary dimension, while remaining true to the character’s joyful spirit. This work is a nostalgic homage to the past, but also a bold reinterpretation, merging popular culture with an avant-garde aesthetic.

    Harleen 8 - Mickey

1 in stock Shipping within 48 hours

“8 – Mickey” is a vibrant and bold street art work created by the contemporary artist Harleen . This 80 cm wide and 100 cm high painting captures the iconic character of Mickey Mouse in a unique style, mixing classic elements of pop culture with modern and urban influences. Against a dynamic background of colorful graffiti and abstract patterns, Mickey Mouse stands out as the central figure. Harleen uses a bright, contrasting color palette, combining hues of red, blue, yellow and black to bring the character to life while incorporating layering and collage techniques that add depth and texture to the 'artwork. Mickey's face, while retaining his iconic smile, features slightly distorted features and intense shadows, giving the impression of movement and dynamism. Around him, paint splashes and urban tags evoke the energy and liveliness of the streets, highlighting the interaction between mass culture and street art. Harleen manages to capture the essence of the character of Mickey Mouse while propelling him into a modern urban environment, creating a dialogue between the past and the present. “8 – Mickey” is a captivating and energetic piece that catches the eye and invites reflection on the place of pop culture in our current society.
