Lasveguix

Lasveguix - Galerie d'art dédiée au Pop Art et au Street Art - Pop Art Gallery

Lasveguix , whose real name is Guillaume Picart, is a French artist from Seine-Saint-Denis who began practicing graffiti under the pseudonym Guix when he was a teenager, along the Canal de l'Ourcq. After a period of hiatus from artistic creation, he started again in 2022 by producing numerous paintings and canvases in various media, with a strong pop influence.

Inspired by artists Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains, Lasveguix creates his works using photographs of famous faces and torn posters, which he then covers with graffiti and paint splashes. This joyful combination gives life to powerful and colorful works reminiscent of urban walls. Relief is a key characteristic of his work, as he likes to give volume to his paintings by using torn paper. Depending on the angle from which we observe his works, there is an impression of movement provided by the different layers and thicknesses of paper he uses.
