The sailboats

Description

This table of Jean-Philippe Ghiglione , made in oil on canvas with a knife, represents three sailboats sailing on a rough sea. The background, dominated by tones of blue and white, suggests a sea in motion, the waves seeming to crash forcefully under the impetus of the brush.

The artist manages, through the thick and textured application, to translate the liveliness and strength of the marine elements, while creating a harmonious and balanced composition.
