Against an absolute black background, a female silhouette stands in profile, arched backward, her dark hair cascading down her back. Her face, rendered in a deep cyan blue, is tilted upward, eyelids closed — an attitude of surrender or apparition, as if the figure were emerging from the darkness rather than standing against it.
The body itself is no longer flesh: it is made of printed paper. Across its entire surface unfolds a collage of vintage comic-book panels — Captain America in full figure, the Human Torch and the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The Punisher, fragmented panels, speech balloons in French, printing halftones, and onomatopoeia. The word WOW! runs across the cheek, while the skin becomes page, speech balloon, and panel. The color palette — saturated blues, vivid reds, and aged-paper yellows — unifies the whole and creates a dialogue between dermis and ink.
This is the underlying principle of the F2B series, here applied to the Marvel universe: the female body, the historic vehicle for every strategy of visual seduction, is literally dressed in mass imagery. The superimposition neither conceals nor truly reveals anything — it transforms the figure into a screen, a surface onto which contemporary mythologies are projected. The eye first searches for the nude, finds superheroes, and understands that the two tell the same story: images made to be desired.
The artist, trained at Duperré and later working in advertising creative direction, applies his characteristic détournement here — bringing together two iconic registers to reveal their shared mechanics.
