Sagrasse: Essential Italian Sculptor of the Pop Art Movement

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti) was born in Macerata in 1966.

Having worked for over 30 years in the resin industry and appreciating its versatility, he decided it was time to put his expertise to work for his greatest passion: sculpture.

Thus, in 2021, he began producing his artworks under the signature Sagrasse.

Immediately, his popularity as a contemporary artist grew, attracting considerable interest from private collectors worldwide.

His art draws from pop imagination to explore and interpret everyday objects, statues, feminine forms, and timeless icons like Mickey Mouse.

Starting from a model created and 3D printed, he creates a rubber mold into which he pours the piece to obtain raw sculptures. Each piece is then finished, sanded, and washed entirely by hand. Only once the surface is free of irregularities is it lacquered and varnished.
