Aleksy Kowalski's story began in the family ironwork workshop in Poland. His childhood was spent alongside his grandfather, an ironworker who raised him and passed on the secrets of the trade to him. This is how Aleksy discovered and learned this profession.
Initially, he assisted his grandfather in the creation of gates, railings and decorative objects. Then, having had access to the family welding workshop, he learned about metal sculpture, and that's where his passion was born...
Aleksy is a perfectionist artist who expresses his sensitivity through his meaningful sculptures. He particularly appreciates the sinuous shapes of the human body, which he represents in his creations.
He works with raw metal by cutting it, shaping it, assembling it, welding it, sanding it and polishing it, thus revealing a unique emotion in each sculpture.
Aleksy's metal sculptures are surprising because of the impressive number of details they contain, but also because of the authority they exude.
