This unique work is born from the meeting of two urban gestures complementary. Lasveguix first constructs the setting: a stacking of fragments of torn posters, torn away, pasted back, where emerge monumental typography in black on flat areas of powder pink and sulfurous yellow. One can make out the words of the mythical fight Ali–Foreman in Kinshasa — Championship of the World, 15 rounds, Rumble in the Jungle — mingled with echoes of the Factory : theExploding Plastic Inevitable, the Velvet Underground, and the face screen-printed image by Warhol itself, doubled at the bottom right right against a electric blue. The the material is alive: tears, transparencies, drips and layers successive layers give the surface the memory of a street wall, weathered by time and wild collages.
On this saturated scene of signs, Jérôme Mesnager intervenes. In just a few touches of white applied with a brush, his famous Man in White bursts forth — a silhouette leaping, arms and legs outstretched, as if suspended in midair. Born in 1983 in the streets of Paris, this luminous body and anonymous has become become one of the figures the most recognizable figures of urban art French.
