Léa Poncharal inscribes her artistic work in a game of interstices and movements, seeking to awaken objects and symbols frozen in the collective imagination. Her art, marked by translation and light, is based on recycling, diversion and demarcation. Claiming a universe that is both naïve and transgressive, she aspires to make creation popular with gentleness and lightness.
Born in Bayonne in 1996, she grew up in Aix-en-Provence, where she still lives, while maintaining a strong attachment to her hometown. Her artistic journey does not stem from a vocation or a revelation, but from a self-taught path, influenced by her painter grandfather and by the discovery of major works. Through her artistic explorations, she experimented with various techniques before turning to sculpture, although she prefers to define herself as a visual artist working with materials without limiting herself to categories.
Aware that she was at the beginning of her journey, she chose to live off her inspiration and follow her own creative path. For her, art is above all a freedom, an invitation to explore without constraint, like Andy Warhol's famous vision.
