Léa Poncharal
Léa Poncharal places her artistic work within a play of gaps and movements, seeking to awaken objects and symbols frozen in the collective imagination. Her art, marked by translation and light, relies on recycling, diversion, and markdown. Claiming a universe that is both naive and transgressive, she aspires to make creation popular with softness and lightness.
Born in Bayonne in 1996, she grew up in Aix-en-Provence, where she still lives, while maintaining a strong attachment to her hometown. Her artistic journey stems neither from a vocation nor a revelation, but from a self-taught path, influenced by her painter grandfather and the discovery of major works. Through her artistic explorations, she experimented with various techniques before turning to sculpture, although she prefers to define herself as a visual artist working with material without limiting herself to categories.
Aware that she is at the beginning of her journey, she has chosen to live from her inspiration and follow her own creative path. For her, art is above all a freedom, an invitation to explore without constraint, like the famous vision of Andy Warhol.
