Since 1997, the Portuguese artist Ram (born in 1976) has taken a unique path in the field of urban aesthetics. He has developed a distinctive visual language that blends the performative vitality of action painting with the rawness of graffiti and the vision of psychedelic arts.
Celebrated as a creator of visionary worlds expressing humanity's primal desire to explore the vast unknown of the cosmos and the mind, Ram brings fantastic realities to life governed by the dynamic and primal forces of nature through energetic and harmonious explosions of color. Working both indoors and outdoors, he realizes his artistic intuitions through a variety of media, ranging from the detailed intimacy of watercolors to the grand scale of monumental murals, from conceptual installations to interdisciplinary performances.
Considered one of the most innovative artists on the global contemporary urban art scene, he has participated in countless art festivals and events worldwide, regularly exhibiting his works both solo and in group shows.
Ram is the first professional graffiti artist in Portugal, after leaving his career as a graphic designer and his teaching position at the Lisbon professional graphic art school in 2000.
Since 2000, Ram has focused on developing and discovering spray painting techniques and skills, and for 10 years, he traveled worldwide to meet and paint with different graffiti communities. He became known for using paint bombs that explode in his works.

Since 1999, Ram has participated in 58 exhibitions, whether in art galleries or museums.
Since 2003, Ram has organized 21 collective street art graffiti exhibitions.
Over the past 25 years, Ram has become friends with and painted alongside giants of global graffiti and urban art such as Robert Proch, Nunca, Os Gemeos, Risk, Bellin, High-Graff, Case, and Tasso from the Maclaim Crew, among many other famous names in the international graffiti scene.
On the Portuguese scene, Ram has painted with all the names you can look up, such as Nomen, Goncalo Mar, Utopia, Vhils, Odeith, Bray1, Klit, Mais Menos, and the list goes back to the good old days of golden graffiti up to today.
From 2002 to today, the artist has created installations, murals, and canvases that have been acquired by galleries and collectors worldwide, and he has completed countless graffiti commissions for all kinds of brands and companies.
