Antennae raised and legs spread, the creature advances on the milky background like ink staining the page—a silhouette of obsidian set against a misty sky, striking in its graphic boldness.
The artist’s signature technique reaches a form of refinement here: each pixel is a tile of paper cut, beveled, and hand-lacquered, its deep black shimmering like jet or Japanese lacquer. Each square is edged with a white border that surrounds it with light—a fine, immaculate mesh that structures the figure and makes the contrast vibrate, pixel by pixel, like a negative drawing.
