With “Lunar,” EAZ brings a creature of icy cyan, somewhere between turquoise and lagoon blue, out of the gloom, its cold radiance irresistibly evoking moonlight shining through the night. Massive and frontal, the invader fills the space with an imposing presence—a compact mass of luminous pixels suspended in the darkness, like a pixelated celestial body in full ascent.
The artist’s signature technique operates here with crystalline precision: the pixels are a sophisticated blend of paper and vinyl. The glossy finish gives the cyan squares the reflections of ice or anodized metal—the light glides across them in cold, almost phosphorescent flashes, like the frozen surface of a distant satellite.
The background continues the refinement introduced in the series: against the anthracite gray, the horde is printed in lacquered black, glossy on matte. These shadow invaders appear only when caught by grazing light—furtive presences populating the night around their luminous scout, like shadows crossing deep space.
The title says everything about the work’s tone: “Lunar” is a nocturnal and contemplative piece, bathed in that cold, silent clarity that belongs only to cloudless nights.
