EAZ
“I’m 8 years old, watching the first episode of Goldorak.... I put on my Morphose forever.”I’m a child of the Dorothée Club; I was in front of my TV when Goldorak appeared and his friends followed him. I dreamed and grew up with them. I also spent long hours with my Lego and Big Jim figures, building and inventing adventures in my bedroom, the living room, or outside—I was shaping my own universe.”
Based in Strasbourg, EAZ has for several years pursued a distinctive practice at the crossroads of design, fine craft, and popular culture.
After many years creating and producing for the worlds of toys, entertainment, decoration, music, and architecture, EAZ wanted to reconnect with this part of his childhood.
Through a universe created and nourished by pop culture, in which the object becomes a pure medium of expression, he combines technical precision with a raw aesthetic to reinterpret the icons that shaped the collective imagination of a generation.
As the heir to a deeply rooted DIY (Do It Yourself) culture, EAZ favors an experimental and independent approach. Whether miniatures, prototypes, or unique pieces, each creation reflects an ongoing dialogue between material and intention.
In the intimacy of his studio, he notably deconstructs the Lego figurine and fuses it with the mythological figures of his childhood.
These resin sculptures, entirely crafted by hand, transform the industrial toy into a sophisticated artistic artifact.
A multidisciplinary artist, EAZ is inaugurating a new creative cycle in 2026 focused on his origins: the art of papercutting. Through a skillful layering of colored papers, he translates his usual volumes into vibrant, two-dimensional compositions. This demanding and delicate cutting technique offers a restrained reinterpretation of his favorite themes.
From Japanese animation heroes to the iconic pixels of arcade games—such as Space Invaders and Pac-Man—EAZ elevates memory into an object of contemplation.
“EAZ’s style is defined by a constant tension between the nostalgia of childhood dreams and rigorous technical mastery.” By transforming the playful object into a lasting work of art, he invites viewers to undertake a joyful yet profound introspection into their own cultural foundations.
